A building was required in the schools open space between the main premises to act as a shelter for brake times etc and as a centre piece to the campus for other activities. HB Designs in conjunction with Architect, Cameron Scott of Timber Design Ltd, were commissioned to design this building which they did by incorporating traditional framing with modern style with a mix of queen post trusses and curved Glulam to form a stunning oval building with a curved boat shaped roof. We worked closely with Cameron to develop the design of this unique building, resolving all the stability, connecting issues as well as the member sizes and the foundations and ground works.
